PENSION UNIT

About the Department

The Pension Unit hasthe responsibility of administering the pension profiles of retired Judges from the service of the State Judiciary.  The Unit is also in charge of their post-service welfare.

Roles &

Responsibilities

  •  Payment of gratuity, pension and other retirement benefits of retiring Judges,
  • Ensuring prompt payment of monthly pensions to retired Judges,
  • Payment of all unpaid pensions (by the Civil Service Pension Office) accruing to retired Judges beforethe takeover date.
  • The unit is involved in the annual verification ofretired Judges tagged ‘I AM ALIVE’ and has acquired Bio-Metrics machines in order to be computer complaint.
